After a severe gas leak in her house left journalist Carrie Poppy feeling that her house was haunted (a feeling that turned out to be carbon monoxide poisoning), she started a journey of investigative reporting into fringe science, spirituality, and claims of the paranormal.

At TEDxVienna, she shares stories from these investigations, and urges people to listen carefully to claims of spooky or eyebrow-raising science; to question the claims wholeheartedly and show kindness toward (and information with) fringe science believers.
